Our large, state-of-the art catering kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel work benches for food preparation and a generous amount of professional grade appliances including burners, steamers, grills and food storage units. Every element of the kitchen – from the heavy duty appliances to the colour-coded chopping boards – is designed to help you acquire the kitchen skills, cooking methods and health & safety techniques required in a high end restaurant kitchen.
Our Phoenix restaurant will prepare you for the complex demands of Front of House. The Phoenix is run as a commercial restaurant by our catering and hospitality students under the expert supervision of experienced chef lecturers, and won an AA College Rosette in 2016 in recognition of the high standard of its food and service. Serving delicious Michelin quality British and international cuisine to the local community and business people, the airy, light-filled restaurant features a stunning steel bar, trendy minimalist furniture and contemporary artwork.
