Print making is a great way of producing original, professional artwork which can be used for a range of business and leisure uses. If you'd like to learn more about this fascinating discipline, our practical, hands-on course is for you.
The course will introduce you to the different techniques involved in print making, and teach you how to use professional equipment to make blocks and screens, enabling you to create your own designs.
Aims of the course
The course is designed to introduce you to the skills and techniques needed to confidently produce professional prints. It will be delivered through a mixture practical exercises, tutor demonstrations and individual projects. We will provide you with opportunities that will allow you to explore and develop your skills.
The course includes:
Making a range of screens and blocks and print them in different ways
You will develop visual language and critical decision making skills
How to use printmaking equipment and workshop safely
Engage in group crits, projects, demonstrations and discussions around your own and other students work.
You will received tutorials and will be assessed by the tutor.
Successful completion of this course, can lead to our higher level courses.

This is a beginner's course in Printmaking, you should have an interest in the area but no previous experience is needed.
You will have access to a dedicated Mac studio. However to fully participate in the practical exercises please bring the following to your class:
