The BTEC Level 2 First Award in Business is a practical, work-related course and is designed to prepare you for employment or further vocational study. Your learning will be enhanced by completing projects and assignments based on realistic work situations and demands. The practical emphasis of our programme means that you will be exposed to particular areas of employment, and will gain a strong foundation to later pursue a more advanced work-related qualification.
Aims of the course
The BTEC level 2 qualification is designed to provide specialist, work-related qualifications in a range of business units. They give learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for employment and Level 3 qualifications.
All students take three mandatory units Core Units: Enterprise in the Business World Finance for Business (External Exam)
Optional Units: Promoting a Brand Recruitment, Selection and Employment
Coursework and External Assessment which involves exams
Having successfully completed this course you may choose to progress to BTEC Level 3 Certificate from February - July, and with additional training you might pursue business-related careers in fields such as accounting, administration, customer service, finance, information technology or sales.
You can find employment in Retail and Finance.
