This is a short ESOL Speaking and Writing course. The aim is brush up your use of English over the summer if you are an existing student, or as an introduction to our courses if you are new. Students will have the opportunity to study at their own pace and work on specific areas of need, take part in discussions, work in groups and prepare a small portfolio on various topics.
At present ESOL classes are free at the college.
Aims of the course
To improve speaking and writing levels of English.
Short assessments in class.
Students may be able to progress onto a mainstream course in September following a progression assessment at the end of the course, depending on their level and availability to study.
Continue further study or progress into work.
None ? there will be a reading/writing assessment and interview to identify the level of class required
The course will take place in the classrooms at the college in Southwark or Lewisham Way, there may also be some excursions to sights in London.
Process for Application
Apply online or ask at Reception for a form. Enrolment will take place in June/July.
