The course gives you hands-on training with essentials in building, installing, configuring and troubleshooting different types of PC hardware, software and peripherals. You will also improve your information technology skills and customer care and support ability. This course prepares you for the information technology industry with professional A+ certification qualifications. With the modern world's emphasis on technological solutions, skills in building and maintaining computer equipment are in high demand. The programme will therefore include main modules on: Customer Support Provision; Maintaining Equipment and Systems; Installing and Configuring Information and Communications Technology Equipment and Operating Systems; Installing, Configuring and Maintaining Software; and Cisco Information Technology Essentials. Students learn through a mix of online learning, workshops, assignments and entrepreneurial activities.

Learners are assessed through activities that are internally set by tutors. These include role play, practical demonstration, report writing, group discussion, essay, written question/answer
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to progress to the next level available, or seek employment.
Successful completion of this course can lead to employment in the information technology industry as a service and support technician, or pave the way for an apprenticeship or further education programme. The course can also offer those moving into their first job roles in information technology the confidence to work effectively with information and communications technology and deal with a range of tasks.
