Aims of the course
To help learners who wish to progress to/within further education or higher education To help learners develop advance learning To help learners who are seeking to take on increased responsibilities in life and work To help learners who are seeking to enter new work areas and are looking to update and/or add to their employment skills and knowledge
This 18 week course is for those that want advanced network knowledge and skills or to work as a CISCO network support person. This practical hands-on course will teach you the essentials of connecting a network to a network using CISCO equipment. This course will cover the four main CISCO modules: Accessing the WAN LAN switching and wireless Network fundamentals Routing protocols and concepts
Learners are assessed through activities that are internally set by tutors. These include role play, practical demonstration, report writing, group discussion, essay, written question/answer
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to progress to the next level available, or seek employment.
Four GCSEs at grades A*-C; one of which must be GCSE English or GCSE Mathematics. Or successful completion of a Level 2 substantial qualification in a related subject - plus an initial assessment that indicates an appropriate level of English and mathematical ability, and a satisfactory reference.
We have a wide range of computer rooms and labs where you will learn a range of skills.
