This course equips you for a career in a range of exciting creative industries. The programme is divided into three parts: the exploratory stage is delivered by practical workshops and short intense projects; the pathway stage gives room for more personal development within longer projects; and the confirmatory stage enables you to focus on one major project which you'll decide and plan with your course tutors. Skills for Life subjects mathematics and English are embedded within the course programme, and are structured so that they assist the student's development and professional arts practice.

Assessment Method

Assessment throughout the course will be formative to support and encourage learning and provide an opportunity for feedback. Only the final unit will be graded to allow students the best opportunity to achieve. The final unit requires students to research, organise, plan, produce and present a personal project and the overall grade for the qualification is determined by the student's achievement in the final unit

4 GCSEs A*-C / or 9-4 (in 2017 GCSEs)

Relevant Level 2 qualification with Merit or above

Relevant industry experience to Level 2 or above


You will have access to dedicated Mac studios; other facilities include a motion capture suit, 3D printing and industry standard camera and lighting equipment. We also encourage students to work across disciplines with our Art Design and Fashion students to create exciting projects.
