This course will introduce the elements of graphic design. You will learn how to develop a concept using composition, layout and typography.
Aims of the course
The course is designed to help you explore your creativity and build on existing skills you to the skills. The techniques developed will help you to confidently create your own designs. It will be delivered through a mixture practical exercises, tutor demonstrations and individual projects. We will provide you with opportunities that will allow you to explore, develop and test your creativity.
The course includes:
- Design Theory
- Design principles
- Design thinking
- Fundamentals of design
- Work with design programs such as :
- Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Adobe Indesign
You will receive tutorials and will be assessed by the tutor.
Successful completion of this course, can lead to our higher level courses.
Work towards a career in Digital Media / photographer
This is a short course in graphic design, you should have an interest in the area but no previous experience is needed.
You will have access to a dedicated Mac studio. However to fully participate in the practical exercises please bring the following to your class: Sketchbook USB memory stick (minimum 8GB) or mini-hard drive
