Overview

This study programme is a one year course and is equivalent to three A Levels. It consists of 45 credits of subject area units and 15 credits of study skills unit. The subject area units are graded units while the study skills units are ungraded. The units include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology content of which has been designed to ensure it supports students with a keen interest in working in the field of radiography, forensic science or any other health related course. It has been designed to support learner's progression to higher education and employment. You will be awarded the Access to Higher Education Diploma (Radiography)

Aims of the course

The Access to Higher Education Diploma (Radiography) is a Level 3 qualification which prepares people who have a demonstrable interest in entering a radiography related profession to study their course of choice at the university. The course is equivalent to three A level subjects

All units are compulsory and internally assessed.

Assessment Method

The course is internally assessed and eternally moderated by OCN. Your progress on the course will be assessed on a regular basis using different methods which include coursework, essays, assignments, presentations, tests, practical reports, observations and any other suitable technique. You are required to pass ALL the subjects and study skills units to achieve the qualification.

Higher education to study Radiography, Diagnostic Radiography, Forensic Science, Radiotherapy and Oncology

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements to join the Access to HE Diploma in Radiography is four GSCEs subjects at grade A*-C / grade 9-4 standard which must include English, Maths and Science. An initial assessment and an interview will be conducted to assess your suitability.
