Football Academy courses

If you decide to study on one of our sports and Football Academy courses at Lewisham College – at Levels 1, 2 or 3 – you’ll become part of one of the best and most successful College academies in London.

Our Football Academy offers professional-level training and development delivered by our experienced UEFA B football coaches, and has helped a number of professional and semi-professional players on the road to success.

The Academy is based at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre where our footballers train in the indoor dome and play home matches on the main stadium pitch. Our teams play in competitive leagues against academy squads across the South of England, which are frequently attended by scouts for professional and semi-professional clubs.

Every year students get the chance to go on a residential football tour abroad, during which they play competitive matches as well as learning about different cultures and enjoying new experiences.

The high-quality training offered by our Football Academy complements the academic components of our sports courses, and contributes to the impressive achievement rates our students leave us with. If you apply for one of our Football Academy courses, you will be invited to take part in football trials to assess your skills and an interview.
