LS College Higher Education is our dedicated centre for Higher Education (HE) study within Southwark College.
An alternative to traditional universities, our offering provides a broad range of HE qualifications within an innovative and dynamic learning environment. Our HE department is situated at our newly renovated £41m campus, and hosts fantastic facilities designed to ensure that our HE students have the best possible learning experience. Our learners benefit from dedicated study areas, a library, social rooms, specialist facilities such as art studios, and computer rooms equipped with the latest technology.
Our high quality, industry-focused courses include HNCs (Higher National Certificates), HNDs (Higher National Diplomas), Foundation degrees and full Honours degrees. These qualifications are focused in three key areas: Business, Finance and Computing; Health Science and Technology; and Art and Creative Industries.
Southwark College's Higher Education offering benefits from our merger with NCG, the UK’s largest College group. The only group in the UK to have Taught Degree Awarding Powers, NCG is renowned for the high quality of its HE courses. As a result of this merger, our HE department has been able to develop an expanded range of HE courses which draw on NCG’s experience and teaching excellence in the HE field.

Access and participation plan
Our Access and Participation Plan sets out how we will improve equality of opportunity for underrepresented groups to access, succeed in and progress from higher education.
- Our ambition for change
- What we plan to do to achieve that change
- The targets we have set
- The investment we will make to deliver the plan
Student Protection Plan
Our Student Protection plan sets out what students can expect to happen should a course, campus, or institution close. The purpose of the plan is to ensure that our students can continue and complete their studies, or can be compensated, if this is not possible. All higher education providers registered with the Office for Students (OfS) must have a student protection plan in place.
