This course is aimed primarily at those that have undertaken our Introduction to Plumbing Course, those already working as Plumbers in the Industry without the Qualification or those in/with a good knowledge/understanding of the Construction Industry as a whole who are looking for a new challenge/change of career.
Aims of the course
Once you have achieved this Level 2 Plumbing qualification you can consider undertaking a Level 3 Plumbing Qualification or if you are already working as a plumber, you could consider being assessed for NVQ level 2.
This qualification consists of several unit components:
- Health and Safety.
- Electrical Principles and Processes.
- Scientific Principles for Plumbing
- Common Plumbing Processes
- Cold Water Systems
- Domestic Hot Water Systems
- Central Heating Systems
- Drainage Systems
- Communication with others within the Building Services Industry
Formal assessments will take place throughout the course that will include multiple choice on-line tests and practical assessments in the workshop.
Level 3 in Plumbing or relevant subject.
Work in a range of sectors including engineering in Plumbing, heating or ventilating.
4 GCSEs D-F / or 3-2 (in 2017 GCSEs) Relevant Level 1 qualification with Merit or above *Relevant industry experience to Level 1 or above
Students will also benefit from attending a range of workshops.
